Rundreise durch Deutschland – Bayern
Bayern or Bavaria is undoubtedly somewhere I want to go in Germany! It is a unique state within Germany; it has its own traditions, dialects, culture, religion and history as distinct aspects that make it in some ways different from the rest of Germany. Not just the beautiful buildings in Munich, like the BMW Headquaters and St. Lukas, but also the surroundings, like the Alps and and the stunning green hill environment make it place you have to go on your trips to Germany.
Bayern has 12,488,000 inhabitants, which is only about 2,000,000 more than Baden-Württemberg, however the area of the Bundesland is twice the size! So that leaves more room for scenic countryside!

Statistics:
Area: 70,552,000 km²
Population: 12.4 million
Capital: Munich / München
Bayern is bordering with Austria and the Czech Republic also with Switzerland. Neighbouring states in Germany are Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Thuringia and Saxony. Two major rivers flow through the state, the Danube (Donau) and the Main, and the upper Rhine makes part of the southwest border of Bayern. The Bavarian Alps define the border with Austria.

Schloss Neuschwanstein
The Weißwürste or white sausages are a Munich specialty. Traditionally eaten only before 12:00, which came around before people had refrigerators, these sausages are often served with sweet mustard and freshly baked pretzels. I had one which I was on the German Exchange to Stuttgart and it was a very nice sausage! I believe it was the one where you have to peel the skin off. I was unexperienced so I tried it with it on, then I was quickly told that I wasn’t doing it right!
Here is a video about Neuschwanstein Castle:
